The C350e plug-in hybrid is powered by a four-cylinder gasoline engine, in conjunction with a 60 kW electric motor, delivering a total system output of 205 kW (279 hp) and torque of 600 Nm (443 lb-ft). The motor is powered by 6.2 kWh lithium-ion battery expected to deliver an all-electric range of 31 km (19 mi), CO2 emissions of 48g/km and a fuel consumption of 2.1 l/100 km (130 mpg-imp; 110 mpg-US) under the New European Driving Cycle (NEDC).

While I think the Mercedes C350e is a nice car, with relatively good fuel efficiency, it’s not much in the way of an EV. The range isn’t great and it just doesn’t measure up to other EV & hybrid/plug in options.
