2017 BMW 530e iPerformance has pure electric and hybrid driving capability. The engine that comes under the bonnet of this car is 2.0 L turbocharged engine, inline four paired in parallel with the single electric motor. The engine can generate 248 HP and 310-pound feet of torque @ 4460 to 6500 RPM.Meanwhile, the lithium ion battery is capable of producing 420 Nm @1450 to 4000 RPM.
Moreover, the electric engine is connected to 8-speed automatic transmissions that only send power to the rear wheel. It comes with a range of 45 km (28 miles) on battery power alone. A full charge for the 530e hybrid will take approximately 2.5 hours.
