German-born, New York-based Cyrill Gutsch is on a mission to help save the oceans, but doing it with style and in style. In 2012 the graphic designer had a chance meeting with activist Captain Paul Watson that raised his awareness of the devastating effect that human activity is having on the oceans, and almost overnight Gutsch decided he was going to do something about it. He founded Parley For The Oceans, a collaborative network where creators and thinkers can work together on projects. In 2017 they teamed up with sportswear giant Adidas to produce a range of range of swimwear that is made with up-cycled fishing nets and debris, adding to their previous collaboration with Adidas on footwear. Gutsch makes protecting the oceans cool.
