As well as being one of the world’s foremost installation artists, Icelandic-Danish Olafur Eliasson also spreads the power of solar worldwide. Along with engineer Frederik Ottesen they launched the Little Sun project in 2012 initially as a way to introduce solar lamps to people in Ethiopia without access to electricity. It has since developed into a global project that has touched the lives of millions. A strong believer in the importance of sustainability and the transformative nature of access to light, Olafur Eliasson has made a true impact with Little Sun. For their five-year anniversary in 2017 the Little Sun Diamond lamp was launched, adding another product that shines light and goodness on earth.
